Are we onto the 7th month of winter by now? Spring is so close to breaking through (I see you, budding trees!) and I feel as though I have never been more ready for warm weather in my life. Thank goodness for these few mid-sixty degree days that I have been able to enjoy fresh air, iced drinks, and sunny photo shoots.
I pulled together three different looks for spring, inspired by my ideal stay-cation weekend. Downtown vintage shopping, picking up produce at Market, and casual brunching.
This first look is great for those in-between-season days, where you want to feel springy, but the weather isn’t agreeing. A lightweight jumper, high waist trousers and a pair of comfy mules will keep you comfortably warm, going in and out of shops downtown.
The second look is lovely for a Saturday morning, because who wants to bother with putting a whole ensemble together after a tiring week? That is why I love jumpsuits - they’re like a one-stop-shop for outfits. As it gets warmer, I love picking up fresh produce for the week at local markets. Support local farmers and get tasty nutrients, what could be better?
The last outfit is for a casual brunch with your friends or significant other. Pastries anyone? This striped top is so Parisian and I’m in love. A denim mini and gold trainers keep it weekend chill, but still fancier than jeans. I tied a vintage scarf around my head because it just seemed to fit the mood (and I still like to think I’m European at heart).
I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend! Leave a comment below with your favorite transitional piece for spring! A huge thank you to Joanie for collaborating on this post, I absolutely adore their nostalgic pieces.
