I love getting out in the streets of my hometown to see locals supporting small business the day after Black Friday. In the past few years, the city of Lancaster has developed exponentially. It has a cozy, slightly grungy, cool vibe that is so fun to experience by foot. My husband, Justin and I loved browsing the vintage collection of stores on Queen Street, various record shops, fashion boutiques, and kitchen gadgets at Mise En Place.
For a late brunch, we dined at Commonwealth On Queen for the first time. The servers were so friendly and we loved their creative menu with everything from a Mexican twist on biscuits and gravy to a vegan option of cacao quinoa porridge with bananas and candied pecans. It definitely hits top of our list for a weekend breakfast spot.
There is a wide array of shopping in Lancaster; something for everyone. You can find gifts for the workout guru, baking addict, trinket collector, plant lover, dedicated musician and modern man.
