Two Holiday Party Looks | Chenille + Velvet

It's the most wonderful time of the year! The holidays have found their way into my wardrobe with soft textures of chenille, merino wool, suede, and this season's favorite - velvet.

This first look is for your more casual gatherings. From top to bottom, I tied a vintage scarf that I thrifted in my hair, then slipped on this oh so soft chenille sweater   in Mauve from Target! I love the ruffle detail on the sleeves of this sweater for Christmastime. My hi-rise black ripped jeggings are from American Eagle and my brown suede heeled booties are Dolce Vita. To accessorize, I added a western black leather belt from ASOS and an oversized silver ring from Forever21.

The second outfit is for fancier festivities. I completely believe you can look stylish and still be cozy. The star of this outfit is the velvet pleated midi skirt in a stunning rose hue from Clad & Cloth. This was my first order from their online shop and I was so pleased with the quality and fit of their pieces! The off-the-shoulder grey sweater is made by Abercrombie & Fitch but I actually found it at a thrift store (here's a perfect substitute )! My boots are Jeffrey Campbell and my beige reptile belt is Rag 'n Bone last year. I love pairing velvet with other soft textures. My one tip would be to pick lighter weight fabrics when wearing two fuzzy pieces to keep the look sleek and flattering.
