NYC Travel Diary | Manhattan + Brooklyn
NYC is my favorite place to be during the Christmas season. This past week, Justin and I had the opportunity to shoot photo + video for a client at the beautiful 1 Hotel in Brooklyn. Our suite looked over Dumbo and the view from our bed was a clear panorama of the Brooklyn Bridge! It was absolutely breathtaking and I loved the hotel’s conscious effort to take care of the earth through their nature-inspired retreat.
We had two days shooting and decided to book an additional two days to explore. We spent one of our off days in Brooklyn vintage shopping, cafe hopping, and riverside walking. In the evening we took a ferry across the river to Manhattan, where we stayed one night at a favorite boutique hotel, the Arlo in Nomad. The last day before heading home to PA, we traveled down the island by foot via 5th Ave. There are so many gems to share so I compiled a master list of where to stay, shop, stop, sip and fare whether you’re visiting Brooklyn or Manhattan this year!
Cha Cha Matcha - get the ginger turmeric matcha ;)
Maribelle’s - hot chocolate you eat with a spoon!
The Butcher’s Daughter - fresh and delicious brunch
By Chloe. - gourmet vegan ‘fast food’
Winter Village at Bryant Park - tons of vendors just for Christmas!
Momofuku Noodle Bar - famous ramen spot near Union Sq.
